This is the fun part — well, except maybe for choosing a photo of yourself to put on the Home or About page of your website! But your photo is actually pretty important. Prospective clients generally want to see your photo, especially those who don’t have a referral and are simply browsing the internet looking at therapist websites. Just as what you say can leave your site visitors with a sense of who you are, your photo conveys something about you as well.
After that, browsing and selecting images can be an enjoyable part of the process. If you are an artist you can decorate your website with some of your own work. You can also choose images from a stock image website. I use these two image websites most often: Dreamstime and iStockPhoto. There are fees for images downloaded from these sites, but they are usually pretty nominal. I will be working with you along the way on what image file sizes you’ll need and how best to get them to me.
